Dana White appeared to bend the truth a little bit when it came to his hype over this weekend’s UFC fights in Las Vegas.

The President of the UFC made it clear that there was so much hype surrounding this weekend’s fights, that no one could get a hotel room in Las Vegas. White suggested that all of the hotel rooms in Las Vegas had been sold out.
“One of the owners of a soccer team is in town, and he and his wife said, ‘You know what? Let’s go to the fight.’ They couldn’t find a hotel room anywhere in the city. There isn’t a single hotel room available. Coming off the White House event, it’s looking like the social media numbers will surpass the White House event, which is insane,” White said.
But is that accurate?
It turns out that it is not.
Robert Littal of Black Sports Online said that, right away, he went online and was able to find hotel rooms for himself.
“I just looked just for fun and almost every hotel on strip has rooms available,” he wrote on X.

White’s claim gets fact-checked on X
White’s claim got immediately fact-checked on X, formerly known as Twitter, as well.
“Hotel rooms remain available in Las Vegas for the weekend of July 10-12, 2026. Real-time booking data shows vacancies across the city, and LVCVA statistics indicate that even during peak demand, thousands of the city’s 150,000+ rooms typically remain unoccupied,” the fact check reads.
Few American cities, if any, are better at handling a huge need for hotel rooms than Las Vegas.
It’s wild to suggest that all of the hotel rooms in the city were sold out, no matter how much hype is surrounding your UFC fight night.
