After Sunday’s World Cup final between Argentina and Spain, it’s likely that soccer will go back to being a secondary sport here in the United States. Sure, there will be excitement in 2027 for the Women’s World Cup, but that’s happening in Brazil. There will be coverage of the U.S. women’s team, but not nearly as much interest in games not involving the USWNT.
Still, America did take notice and was entertained by the World Cup being played on American soil. And Americans were probably entertained as much by fans from other nations as they were by the games themselves. Several countries stood out as their fans seemingly took over the United States. So…
