Sacramento Kings unveil preseason schedule, broadcast team for coming NBA season

The Sacramento Kings will take on the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors as part of their preseason schedule in preparation for the 2026-27 NBA season.

The Kings unveiled their preseason schedule Monday along with details about their broadcast team for the upcoming season. The Kings will play five preseason games, including two against the Lakers, one against the Warriors, one against the Portland Trail Blazers and one against the San Antonio Spurs.

Play-by-play announcer Mark Jones will return alongside game analyst Kayte Christensen with Morgan Ragan and Deuce Mason hosting the team’s pregame and postgame shows on NBC Sports California. Jones, who split time with Kyle Draper in recent years, will be back in a fulltime role after leaving ESPN in April.

The Kings will open their preseason schedule against the Lakers on Oct. 5 at Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. They will then travel to Los Angeles to face the Lakers again on Oct. 8 at Crypto.com Arena.

The Kings will visit the Warriors on Oct. 10 at Chase Center in San Francisco. They will come home to play the Blazers on Oct. 13 at Golden 1 Center before traveling to San Antonio to face the defending Western Conference champion Spurs in their preseason finale on Oct. 16 at Frost Bank Arena.

The Kings went 22-60 to tie the Utah Jazz for the worst record in the Western Conference last season. Head coach Doug Christie will return along with veterans such as Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine, Malik Monk, Keegan Murray and Precious Achiuwa.

The team will also feature several young players with rookies Darius Acuff Jr., Alex Karaban and Emanuel Sharp joining second-year players Nique Clifford, Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell.
