One person was killed and another was hospitalized Sunday after a two-vehicle crash in west Roseville, authorities said.

The crash was reported just after 9 p.m. near Baseline Road and Canyon Creek Drive, according to the Roseville Police Department.
Firefighters at the scene said one person died and another was injured and taken to a hospital, according to dispatch audio reviewed by The Sacramento Bee.
Radio dispatches indicated the crash involved a BMW traveling at a high rate of speed and a van.

Roseville police were expected to release additional information about the crash Monday.
The intersection was closed for several hours Sunday night but has since reopened.
