Caitlin Clark, of course, is undeniably the biggest storyline in women’s basketball right now. There have been all sorts of controversies and storylines surrounding the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. Clark has played at a high level this year, but she’s taken hard fouls, rough comments from her peers and more.
You would think that the commissioner of the league would be asked about this at All-Star Weekend, right? Well, you would be wrong.
The commissioner of the WNBA took questions from the media for about 20 minutes in Chicago. She was reportedly not asked a single Caitlin Clark question. Other media members are stunned.

“Cathy Engelbert took questions for 20 minutes at the WNBA All-Star game. Yet nobody asked a single question about Caitlin Clark, whose treatment and discourse surrounding her have been the biggest stories in the sport this season. As a media person watching, I was stunned,” Josh Graham shared.
WNBA media ripped for lack of questions about Clark
“Nobody wants their credentials revoked,” one fan wrote.
“I hate criticizing other actual media, but for no one to ask anything about the most polarizing star player in the league being in the midst of a firestorm that’s led to Obama talking with her and included a legacy outlet reporting literal fake news is stunning,” another shared.

Others, meanwhile, are defending it.
“Well because that isnt a real issue that needs to be addressed,” one fan added.
Jemele Hill, though, seems to have weighed in. She’s not happy about it.
The WNBA media is rightfully getting ripped – and deservedly so.
