The Jacksonville Jaguarsofficially announced they signed former Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans linebacker Amari Burney. In a corresponding move, they waived former Western Michigan cornerback Keni-H Lovely, who spent the last year on the Jaguars’ practice squad.

Burney has played in 24 games and tallied 32 tackles (20 solo), 1 forced fumble, 1 sack and three tackles for loss over his two years with the Raiders. He spent last year on the Titans in the offseason before being waived before the start of the regular season.
Burney is a St. Petersburg, Florida native who spent his college career at the University of Florida as an interior linebacker. Burney pairs back up with his Florida teammate, Ventrell Miller, as the preseason games are set to begin.
