A new Vietnamese street food restaurant to open in south Sacramento

New Vietnamese restaurant is coming to Mack Road in south Sacramento.

Saigon Street Food Restaurant is slated to open on 4582 Mack Road in the South Center mall. Located in Valley Hi / North Laguna, it joins a variety of Vietnamese businesses in south Sacramento.

Saigon Street Food will have as its neighbors the restaurants Taste of Angkor, Quickly Tea and El Pollo Loco as well as New Model Salon and Living Concepts Furniture.

The restaurant has yet to release an opening date, according to the Sacramento Business Journal. Saigon Street Food will take up 7,558 square feet in the shopping mall, occupying two storefronts.

While a menu has yet to be released, What Now Sacramento reported that Saigon Street Food will serve classic Vietnamese dishes including banh mi, pho and vermicelli bowls.

The business is run by Huy Trieu, who owns several Shun Fat Supermarkets, according his LinkedIn.

Shun Fat Supermarket currently has two locations in Sacramento, one on 5820 S. Land Park Drive in South Land Park and 4562 Mack Road in Valley Hi / North Laguna. Trieu also owns SF Supermarket in Pacific Plaza, which is in Florin on 6930 65th St., Suite 123. Another location is scheduled to open in Elk Grove on 8539 Elk Grove Blvd.
