Champion Ted Noffey returned to the work tab Monday at Saratoga, the Daily Racing Form reports, breezing three furlongs in :38.33 in his first official workout in more than six months.

The undefeated 2025 champion 2-year-old male had not posted an official breeze since Jan. 23 at Palm Meadows before being sidelined with bone bruising. According to Daily Racing Form, trainer Todd Pletcher said Ted Noffey had two workouts at Ian Brennan’s farm in Ocala, Fla., before arriving at Saratoga Aug. 2.
“He was moving good; it’s great to have him back, looks good, he’s filled out,” Pletcher told DRF. “We’re really happy with him.”

Pletcher said he expects Ted Noffey to progress quickly but has not settled on a target for his return.
The Spendthrift Farm-owned colt was unbeaten in four starts during his championship 2-year-old campaign, which included three Grade 1 victories capped by the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile.
