Television sportscaster and sports director Jake Gadon is leaving KOVR after four years at the Sacramento-area station.

“This chapter in Northern California will be one of incredible growth, opportunity & dreams fulfilled,” Gadon wrote in a Monday post to X.
He thanked his colleagues, coaches, players and others for their support.
“Sacramento sports fans are in good hands,” Gadon said. “The market is filled with incredibly talented reporters that I had the honor & pleasure of working with.”
Gadon called his arrival in Sacramento a “leap of faith.”
“I leave with more friends and memories than I can count,” he said. “In the end, I hope I’ve left the city better than I found it.”

Gadon’s post did not indicate where he was headed or if it was to another TV station.
A graduate of Arizona State University, Gadon also has worked at television stations in Colorado and Texas.
