Little League International shocked the baseball world this week when it announced that Tulsa’s Little League team has been removed from the Southwest Region Tournament.

It was reported this week that Tulsa had an ineligible player on its roster. The timing of this news was shocking since Tulsa was just one win away from making the Little League World Series.
“Following a recent protest related to the eligibility of players on the Tulsa National Little League Baseball team, the Little League® International Tournament Committee has determined that a player who participated on the team during the International Tournament is ineligible,” the statement read. “As a result, the committee has removed Tulsa National Little League from the Little League Baseball® Southwest Region Tournament and declared its previous game a forfeit. The decision of the Little League International Tournament Committee is final and binding.”
Shortly after this statement was released, baseball fans voiced their frustration with Tulsa’s Little League squad.
“Grown adult who proactively cheats to try and win a baseball tournament for 12 year olds gotta be top 1 loser alive,” one fan said.
“You embarrass those kids and you embarrass this state. Either follow the rules or don’t play at all,” a second fan wrote. “I said what I said.”

“Adults cheating at Little League. A tale as old as time,” a social media user added.
“Little League International needs to take a long look at their charter and who’s running that league,” another fan commented.

On Monday, the Tulsa National Little League was granted a temporary restraining order from Judge Ryan Luna of the 414th District Court. That would allow them to compete for a spot in the Little League Baseball World Series.
Little League Baseball, however, has filed an emergency motion to dissolve the temporary restraining order.
