Three versions of this shoe exist and they are not the same product. The 2005 original ran full leather at $150, the 2010 pair swapped the side panels for mesh at $160, and the 2017 release restored the leather at $190. Tinker Hatfield built the AJ13 after watching Jordan move like a cat. When he showed Jordan the sketch board, Jordan stopped him and asked, “How did you know?” Black Cat was a nickname only his closest friends used.
There’s no suede here. The full leather upscales the quality for me, and the Altitude Green gives it a different vibe than most other shoes that ping off the Black Cat color identity.
