The 4-year-old arrived in Venezuela on Sunday, as announced Monday on social media by bloodstock agent and importer Javier I. Farache, who has worked closely with several farms in Venezuela to introduce American racing and breeding stock to their programs.
A homebred for the Coolmore operation trained by Chad Brown, Treaty of Rome ended his racing career with two wins in six starts for earnings of $162,469.
Treaty of Rome broke his maiden in his second career start as a 2-year-old, outkicking challengers late to win an Aqueduct maiden special weight by a half-length. He climbed the ladder into stakes company for his 3-year-old debut, where he finished second by a neck in the listed Mucho Macho Man Stakes at Gulfstream Park.
The colt finished out of the money in the listed Sam F. Davis Stakes in the final start of his 3-year-old season. He reemerged on the turf at Tampa Bay Downs the following March, finishing fifth in an allowance race. That effort served as a prep for his final start, a Churchill Downs allowance, which he won by three-quarters of a length.

Treaty of Rome is out of the placed Montjeu mare Coin Broker, herself a Coolmore homebred, who is the dam of five winners from seven foals to race. The colt is a full-brother to Donna Veloce, a Grade 3 winner who finished second in the 2019 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies and has become a black type-producing broodmare. He is also a half-brother to stakes-placed Orinoco River.
His second dam is the 1999 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Cash Run, putting Treaty of Rome in the family of Grade 1 winner Forestry, Saudi Arabian Horse of the Year Step In Time, Slovakian champion Move Your Vision, and multiple Irish Group 3-placed Great War Eagle, who himself became a sire in Venezuela.
