A four-vehicle crash with injuries blocked lanes on westbound Interstate 80 heading toward Sacramento on Wednesday morning, backing up traffic through the Citrus Heights area.

The crash was reported about 8:56 a.m. just before Greenback Lane and near the Antelope truck scales, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
The CHP initially reported the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes blocked. By 9:06 a.m., all westbound lanes were reportedly blocked.

Emergency crews from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District extricated at least one person from a vehicle about 9:15 a.m., according to the logs.
