- Oct. 5: Vote-by-mail ballots mailed in Sacramento County.
- Oct. 19: Deadline to register to vote in California. Voters who miss the deadline can register to cast provisional ballots at their polling places.
- Oct. 24: Some vote center locations open in Sacramento County.
- Oct. 31: All vote center locations open in Sacramento County.
- Nov. 3: Polls open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for in-person voting or to turn in vote-by-mail ballots.
- Dec. 3: Deadline to certify voting results.
