The Jets are in Nashville for their Sept. 13 opener against the Tennessee Titans and need to get off to a fast start. The good news for the Jets is three of their offensive weapons have been cleared for a full-go in their matchup.

One factor in the game will be the heat. It’s expected to be 90 degrees in Nashville on Sunday, which means depth is a strong factor for both teams, particularly late in the game.

Jets edge Joseph Ossai, who ruptured his plantar fascia and was previously listed as “week-to-week” by the team, has been definitely ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Titans.

Although that injury can be treated with ice and rest, a defensive lineman that relies on explosion off the snap can be hampered. The Jets will be happy to get Ossai back by the end of the month, although such injuries can linger with bigger men.

The Jets have some depth at the position with Will McDonald IV, rookie David Bailey and Kingsley Enagbare, the latter primarily enlisted as a running game stopper.

Jets wide receiver Tim Patrick has been ruled out with a groin injury. Patrick was behind starters Garrett Wilson and Adonai Mitchell, and also considered beneath Omar Cooper Jr. and Isaiah Williams on the depth chart. He’s mainly a locker room guy to a young collection.

Listed as doubtful are cornerback D’Angelo Ponds and kick returner Kene Nwangwu. Ponds has been nursing a calf injury since early in training camp, and has hardly practiced with the full squad. Nwangwu has a back injury, but his primary role is as a kick returner. He broke two returns for TDs over the last two years.

The best news for the Jets came from the availability of running backs Breece Hall and Isaiah Davis. Both are listed as good to go and should have a big impact on the game.

Tight end Kenyon Sadiq is also listed as expected to play. He hasn’t been in any preseason games, but he has blazing speed and has to be watched by any opponent. Expect the Jets to try at least one deep pass to him.

The Tennessee Titans are relatively healthy entering the Sept. 13 opener. The only definite scratch is linebacker Cedric Gray, out with a concussion.

Defensive end Keldric Faulk, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and offensive lineman Dillon Radunz are all cleared for play.
