The New York Jets made two key moves prior to their game against the Tennessee Titans.

Wide receiver Tim Patrick and running back Kene Nwangwu have both been declared out for the Titans game. Patrick will be placed on injured reserve because of a groin injury. Nwangwu has a back injury and will be evaluated week to week.
Jason Sanders has been elevated from the practice squad.
Patrick was considered a supplemental receiver. A seven-year NFL veteran, he spent last year with the Jacksonville Jaguars, catching 15 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns.
Nwangwu is the bigger loss. As the primary kick returner, he had 604 yards last season, including a touchdown. He has an overall career total of 2,640 on returns and his absence takes away a key weapon for the Jets special teams.
Patrick will be eligible for return after missing four games. His strength in run-blocking will be missed by the team.
