Sophie Cunningham spent her weekend off meeting with the NASCAR community.
The Indiana Fever backup guard is still on break, due to the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup. Cunningham spent time on Sunday, attending NASCAR’s Cup Series race in Illinois. She took in the Enjoy Illinois 300.

Cunningham met with several different drivers, including NBA legend and NASCAR owner Michael Jordan, before the engines fired on Sunday. She was also seen meeting with Jeff Gordon.
“You guys are salt of the earth people,” Cunningham was heard saying to NASCAR’s fan base on Sunday.
Cunningham appeared to have fun all day.
“She kicked footballs into the crowd with Kenny Wallace (Herm!). She hung out with Chase Elliott. And Austin Dillon. And Carson Hocevar (of course). She went to the driver’s meeting. She was in the pits. In the haulers. In the infield. She hung with Michael Jordan. She said hello to Jeff Gordon,” Fox News reported.
Meanwhile, NASCAR star Austin Dillon made his opinion on Cunningham extremely clear for everyone.

Austin Dillon praises Sophie Cunningham
The NASCAR Cup Series star had some personal gifts for Cunningham.
“Cunningham also hung out with Austin Dillon, who gave her a huge bag of gifts on the way out. Shirts. Hats. Memorabilia. The works,” Fox News added.
Meanwhile, Dillon made it clear how he feels about Cunningham and her off-the-court beliefs.
“We’re huge fans. We love what you stand for. That’s the biggest thing,” Dillon was heard telling the veteran WNBA guard on Sunday afternoon.
Cunningham appreciated the message, making it clear that she was grateful for their support.
