An Orland girl was safely returned to her Glenn County home and a 32-year-old man was arrested after police said he took the teen to Oakland.

The 14-year-old Glenn County girl was reported missing Friday from Orland, about 100 miles north of Sacramento, Orland police said. Investigators determined her disappearance was suspicious and worked with FBI agents to track the girl and the man to Oakland using interviews, cellphone data and surveillance footage, police said in a news release.
Orland police worked with the FBI offices in Chico and San Francisco, the Glenn County District Attorney’s Office, Glenn County Victim/Witness Assistance Center, Glenn County Sheriff’s Office, Oakland Police Department, Oakland Housing Authority and California Highway Patrol to locate the girl.

Police also found the man in Oakland and arrested him. He was later booked into the Glenn County Jail, police said.
