Padres minors: Jase Bowen hits 11th homer for El Paso; homers power Missions win

Jase Bowen is staying on the Padres’ radar.

He hit his system-best 11th home run during a three-hit game on Tuesday, leading Triple-A El Paso to a 10-7 win over visiting Round Rock.

The 25-year-old center fielder also hit his ninth double, walked twice and drove in three runs to push his RBI total to 29.

Bowen is hitting .291/.357/.623 through 38 games with El Paso.

Second baseman Pablo Reyes (.961 OPS) also had three hits, including a double.

First baseman Will Wagner (.689 OPS) went 2-for-3 with a triple and a walk and left fielder Carlos Rodriguez (.678 OPS), third baseman Clay Dungan (.732 OPS) and shortstop Mason McCoy (.840 OPS) all had one double.

McCoy drove in three runs and designated hitter Samad Taylor (.944 OPS) drove in two runs on two hits.

Right-hander David Morgan (9.00 ERA) worked a perfect ninth for his second save.

Right-hander Alek Jacob (3-0, 3.66 ERA) struck out a batter over two perfect innings in relief.

Left-hander JP Sears (6.20 ERA) allowed five runs in 3 ⅔ innings in the start.

El Paso is 22-24.

Missions 12, Frisco 6: RF Braedon Karpathios (.670 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits, including his third homer. LF Albert Fabian (.637 OPS) went 2-for-5 with his third homer. CF Kai Roberts (.629 OPS) went 3-for-3 with his first homer. SS Francisco Acuña (.637 OPS) also hit his first homer. C Ethan Salas (.878 OPS) went drove in two runs on two hits. RHP Miguel Mendez (4.67 ERA) allowed three runs in two-thirds of an inning in his second start since returning from the injured list. LHP Omar Cruz (2-1, 6.35 ERA) allowed a run in 2⅓ innings.

HIGH SINGLE-A FORT WAYNE (19-21)

Dayton 11, TinCaps 2: RHP Matthew Watson (0-2, 3.26 ERA) struck out five and allowed two runs in five innings in the loss. RHP Isaiah Lowe (7.61 ERA) allowed four runs in 1 1/3 innings. CF Kasen Wells (.778 OPS) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored. 2B Rosman Verdugo (.758 OPS) went 1-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two walks. LF Alex McCoy (.909 OPS) went 1-for-5 with a double.

LOW SINGLE-A LAKE ELSINORE (23-17)

Visalia 4, Storm 2: RHP Winyer Chourio (1-1, 3.23 ERA) struck out nine and allowed four runs in 4 ⅔ innings in the loss. The Storm had two hits, a single each from 1B Kerrington Cross (.965 OPS) and 2B Jose Verdugo (.592 OPS). Verdugo’s drove in two runs.

ROOKIE ACL PADRES (6-7)

Padres 7, Mariners 6 (7): RHP Yoesmerli Beltre (1-0, 5.68 ERA) struck out two over two scoreless innings in relief for the win. LHP Ryan Och (0.00 ERA) struck out a batter in a scoreless inning to start a rehab assignment. 2B Yimy Tovar (.993 OPS) drove in three runs on two hits. SS Jhoan De La Cruz (.604 OPS) walked four times and scored twice.
