This week’s photographs include a public tour of serial killer Dorothea Puente’s former home and medals for the 319th Expeditionary Signal Battalion. Our photographers also visited park openings in Davis and Sacramento, and travelled to the remote Placer County community of Iowa Hill after a sheriff’s deputies engaged in a two-hour shootout with a man who killed a woman in a home nearby.
This selection of moments were made between Friday, Sept. 18, and Friday, Sept. 25.
