MILWAUKEE – The Padres will start a third DH in their fourth postseason game on Sunday.

It’s their youngest one yet as 20-year-old Ethan Salas will serve as the designated hitter for Sunday’s 1 p.m. start on FS1/FOX ONE.
Salas on Tuesday became the youngest player to ever catch a postseason game. He went 0-for-1 with a sacrifice fly in that win and 1-for-3 with a run scored while catching Saturday’s 3-2 loss.
After an 0-for-15 start, Salas is 11-for-30 (.366) with a triple, two homers, six RBIs and a walk.
“He’s been impressive since he got here,” Padres manager Craig Stammen said. “Got off to a little bit of a rough start there, not getting a hit there for a while. But stuck with it. And then once he broke through, he’s been a pretty hot hitter for us. Couple of great at-bats last night from him. I feel like he’s earned the right to have the opportunity to continue hitting.”
Salas bat sixth between center fielder Jackson Merrill and shortstop Xander Bogaerts.
With right-hander Michael King on the mound, Luis Campusano will catch him as he did to open the playoffs and in 21 (2.87 ERA) of King’s 32 regular-season starts.
Campusano will bat eighth, ahead of second baseman Jake Cronenworth.
Gavin Sheets – who homered on the only pitch he’s swung at this postseason – is looking for his first start in the postseason.

“He’s definitely an option to DH,” Stammen said. “We could see him in that spot as the series goes.”
The Padres are looking to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time since Sept. 1-2 in Cincinnati.
Given the controversy at the end of Saturday’s game, it’s important to note that, according to the American Family Field hotline (414-902-4636), the roof will be open for a sunny, 67-degree day game.
“I think it’s the experience in the room,” Cronenworth said. “I think it’s honestly just the way we’ve been playing.”
Here is how the Brewers will line up for Game 2:
Sunday’s pitching matchup
Padres RHP Michael King (12-10, 3.21 ERA)
He lowered his postseason ERA to 2.05 across 22 innings after blanking the Cubs over seven innings on Tuesday in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card Series. King struck out eight, walked three and allowed just one hit. King has a 27-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in the postseason. He faced the Brewers in May, allowing a run on six hits and two walks in 5⅔ innings. King struck out five in the no-decision.

Brewers RHP Logan Henderson (11-3, 2.47 ERA)
The second-year starter is making his postseason debut after striking out 110 against 19 walks in 98⅓ innings. Henderson struck out seven in his meeting with the Padres in August, but he allowed three runs on five hits and a walk in 6⅓ innings in a loss. Seven of his 18 starts this year have been quality starts.
