Miami topped Clemson, 41-13, in an ACC matchup on Saturday evening. The Hurricanes bested the Tigers in fairly easy fashion, as they remain undefeated on the year. Miami improved to 5-0 on the season, as Mario Cristobal’s team looks like a College Football Playoff national title contender.
Following the game, Rowe caught up with multiple Hurricanes players, though some fans took issue with a postgame comment. Hurricanes star Malachi Toney went away for a postgame hug during the middle of the interview.
“Ope, he’s hugging Dabo, mid-interview,” she remarked.
Sideline reporters, though, are coming to Rowe’s defense. They don’t think her remark was anything out of bounds for a sideline reporter.

Veteran reporter Mike Leslie shared: “This isn’t ‘complaining.’ There’s nothing wrong with this interaction. She’s just informing the audience what’s happening, because she turned and planned to ask a question, but as she turned to him, he was engaged with Dabo. It’s an informative statement, not a complaint.”
Others agree.
“That’s not her complaining 🤦🏾♂️,” one fan wrote.
“Come on, that’s a huge stretch,” one fan added.
“You are insane to think her filling airtime is her believing she’s bigger than the players. Please go outside and think about your own actions,” one fan added.
“There’s nothing wrong with that,” one fan added.
Rowe is a fan favorite in the sports media world.
“Holly Rowe is the best in the business. Will always be a fan,” CJ Vogel shared.
EPSN announcer Chris Fowler agrees.
“There is no one out there more dedicated or committed, no one who works harder in the TV sports business, than Holly Rowe. She is a pro’s pro. She is deeply committed to all of the sports she covers — and there’s a lot of them — and to those who participate in those sports. She has done so much for so many. You have no idea. And I am so proud to call her a colleague on ABC Saturday Night Football,” Fowler said.
