A motorcyclist was killed Sunday evening in a crash west of Grass Valley in Nevada County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash reported at 6:42 p.m. near the 16100 block of Indian Springs Road, according to CHP dispatch logs reviewed by The Sacramento Bee. No other information was immediately available and CHP officials didn’t respond to inquiries about the crash.
Nevada County coroner’s officials were expected to release the motorcyclist’s name after notifying family members.
