The Houston Texans finally have a win to celebrate, and Danielle Hunter gave them another reason to feel good about their defense. Houston beat the Tennessee Titans 26-3 in Week 5, snapping a four-game losing streak with a dominant performance on both sides of the ball.

Hunter was one of the biggest stories of the afternoon as the veteran defensive end repeatedly disrupted Cam Ward, recording 10 quarterback pressures and helping Houston control the game. Will Anderson Jr. delivered three sacks, while Hunter added another sack of his own. Together, the two edge rushers made life difficult for Tennessee’s front.
Is Hunter finding his best form at the right time? With the Jacksonville Jaguars up next, Houston needs its pass rush to keep producing. The Texans have a chance to build on their first victory, but they must address several offensive and defensive concerns before traveling to London.
Houston finished with four sacks and held Tennessee to 187 total yards. Hunter’s pressure complemented Anderson’s three-sack performance, giving the Texans the kind of two-sided pass rush that can overwhelm opposing protection schemes.

Problems the Texans Must Fix Before Facing the Jaguars
Houston’s defense finally delivered, but the offense remains a work in progress. The Texans beat Tennessee 26-3 despite managing only 79 rushing yards on 27 carries. David Montgomery left with a groin injury, and Woody Marks finished with 62 rushing yards as the team struggled to create consistent running lanes.
The offensive line needs to improve its run blocking and cut down on penalties. Houston committed 11 penalties against Tennessee, repeatedly making its own drives harder than necessary. Stroud played efficiently, but the Texans cannot expect him to carry the offense every week.
Holding Tennessee to 187 total yards was a significant improvement, but Houston still needs to show it can perform at this level against a stronger offense. The pass rush should be a strength against Jacksonville, especially with Anton Harrison expected to miss time after a knee injury. Reuters reported that Harrison is expected to undergo surgery and could miss four to six weeks or longer. Walker Little is set to take over at left tackle for the Week 6 matchup.
