Which children’s products were recalled in California? Why?
On Oct. 8, City of Industry-based Pacearth Direct recalled Pacearth U-type swing seats because parts can break during use.
The recalled swings come in various colors, including green, blue, pink, red and turquoise. They have chains coated in yellow plastic and include metal carabiners or quick links and yellow webbing straps for attaching the seats to outdoor swing sets or tree branches.
The seats were sold individually and in packs of two.
“The seats, metal carabiners or quick links, or webbing straps of the recalled swing seats can break during use, posing a risk of serious injury due to fall hazard,” the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Pacearth Direct has received at least 30 reports of falls, resulting in at least nine injuries, including fractures, head injuries and bruising, according to the safety recall notice.
Where were swing seats sold?
The swing seats were sold online at Amazon.com from May 2017 through June 2026 for between $27 and $57.
What should I do if I bought a recalled swing seat?
Consumers should stop using the recalled swing seats immediately and contact Pacearth Direct for a full refund, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
To receive a refund, consumers will be asked to write “RECALLED” on the swing seat with a permanent marker and take a photo showing the marking and the PACEARTH logo, then email the photo to [email protected].
