The Green Bay Packers won their third straight game on Sunday night, defeating the Dallas Cowboys 23-13 to improve to 4-2 on the season. The victory provided plenty of positives, but a few concerns remain heading into Week 7.

Here are the winners and losers from the Packers’ primetime win in Week 6.
Winners
DC Jonathan Gannon
Without Micah Parsons, Edgerrin Cooper, and Javon Hargrave, the Packers defense didn’t miss a beat against the Cowboys. Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon’s game plan had quarterback Dak Prescott off balance all night long and never let an explosive offense get going.
Prescott had been picked off three times entering Sunday night; the Packers intercepted him twice in the first half alone. Meanwhile, the Cowboys offense was kept scoreless in the first half for the first time since 2021.
Green Bay also held the Cowboys to their lowest rushing total of the season (48 yards).
QB Jordan Love
Love followed up his impressive performance in Week 5 with another on Sunday night, finishing 23-of-41 for 276 yards with a touchdown and an interception. His numbers would’ve been much better had his receivers not dropped three would-be touchdowns.
Through the first four games, Love was consistent, but for the most part, unspectacular. Over the last two weeks, he’s thrown for 643 yards with three touchdowns and just one pick, with a shaky offensive line and a nonexistent running game.
WR Matthew Golden
Matthew Golden posted his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game, hauling in six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown. It’s the second-year pro’s third 100-yard-plus game of his career, all coming this season.
Drops were the only blemish on the evening for Golden, who caught only six of 13 targets, including two drops in the end zone. The 23-year-old’s production remains off the charts, but inconsistency held him back from a much bigger night.
S Evan Williams
The Packers had plenty of standouts on defense in Sunday night’s victory, but Evan Williams may have stood above the rest. The third-year pro finished with six tackles, a quarterback hit and a huge interception.

Moments after a Packers turnover late in the first quarter, Williams picked off Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, leading to a field goal, which swung the momentum back into Green Bay’s favor for good.
Losers
WR Christian Watson and Matthew Golden
Drops have been an issue all season long for the Packers, and that weakness reared its ugly head again on Sunday night. Matthew Golden and Christian Watson combined for three drops in the end zone, which would have made a relatively comfortable victory for Green Bay even easier.
In the end, those mistakes didn’t come back to bite the Packers, but it’s not something they can ignore. Leading the league in dropped passes more than a quarter of the way through the year isn’t a recipe for success down the stretch.
HC Matt LaFleur
The Packers offense started hot, coming away with 17 points in their first four drives. Meanwhile, they were extremely successful on third down, beginning the game 7-of-7, including three conversions of eight or more yards.
After halftime, they seemingly took their foot off the gas, punting on three of six possessions in the second half. Green Bay also reverted to its old ways on third down, finishing the game 11-of-17.
Thankfully, the defense showed up, holding the Cowboys offense in check late minus a garbage-time touchdown.
RB MarShawn Lloyd
Lloyd earned some goodwill after finding the end zone twice in Week 5, but his chances may be running out. He carried the ball eight times against the Cowboys, managing just 10 yards, averaging a putrid 1.3 yards per carry.
Worse yet, most of Lloyd’s touches came late in the game with the result already in hand.
