It was the Ohio Bobcats’ (5-2, 3-0 MAC) first visit to Sacramento, and it ended in a 48-7 homecoming loss for the Hornets. Sac State managed to get points on the board with a fourth-quarter touchdown by wide receiver Kenyon Shabazz. The loss marks the Hornets’ fifth in a row.

So far this season, the Hornets (1-6, 0-4 MAC) have lost to their MAC opponents by an average of 27 points. Their only win came against Mississippi Valley State, a 52-0 nonconference victory. The Hornets paid an $18 million entry fee, spread out over the five-year agreement, to join the MAC earlier this year.
