A gambler at Thunder Valley Casino Resort near Sacramento hit a $236,313 jackpot on a 10-cent slot machine, casino officials reported.

The player won a progressive jackpot on a $10 bet on a “Buffalo Link” slot machine Saturday, May 30, the casino said.
“Every jackpot tells a different story, but there is something especially exciting about seeing a $10.00 wager turn into more than $236,000,” said Dawn Clayton, general manager of Thunder Valley Casino Resort. “Moments like this are why so many guests enjoy the excitement of our gaming floor. You never know when the next life-changing jackpot is going to hit.”
More than 251,000 jackpots have been hit at the casino in the past 12 months, averaging nearly 700 jackpots every day, or approximately one jackpot every two minutes.

Thunder Valley Casino Resort at 1200 Athens Ave. in Lincoln has 3,500 slot machines and 89 table games. It is about 35 miles northeast of Sacramento.
