Was Praying with my son tonight and wouldn\u2019t want anybody else to miss out on an opportunity to do the same with their loved ones! My apologies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Aiyuk posted the video in December, and the Santa Clara Police Department forwarded the case to the DA\u2019s Office in mid-January, ESPN reported. Santa Clara Superior Court online records show a traffic charge was filed against Aiyuk on Jan. 30.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>49ers general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan have said Aiyuk no longer factors into the club\u2019s future despite being less than two years removed from signing a landmark four-year, $120 million contract.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201c(The) situation didn\u2019t work itself out here,\u201d Lynch said in April. \u201cThat\u2019s not to say that it can\u2019t be rekindled somewhere else. But SLO County students are condemned for using it? | Opinion<\/a><\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Lynch and Shanahan confirmed the team lost contact with Aiyuk last summer when he failed to report to the Santa Clara facility to rehab his injured knee, which he was expected to return from at some point last season. Aiyuk stopped responding to calls from Shanahan and other team staffers, leading to the team placing him on the reserve\/left squad list.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cEventually there\u2019s not much of an explanation because it\u2019s really hard for us and anyone else to understand,\u201d Shanahan said. \u201cThat\u2019s why it\u2019s something I\u2019ve never seen in 22 years of coaching.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The 49ers then voided the guarantees in Aiyuk\u2019s contact last summer, which Aiyuk elected not to fight with a grievance through the NFL Players Association. Aiyuk technically remains on the roster and will likely be released if a trade to another team can\u2019t be worked out.
