McLaughlin, who oversaw Cacconie\u2019s trial, has faced criticism for allowing him to go on bail, despite a request from the District Attorney\u2019s Office to keep him in custody, according to reporting from KCRA 3.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>Recently, the female victim in the case posted a GoFundMe page to raise money to increase the reward amount for capturing Cacconie from $1,000 to $5,000. The GoFundMe had received over $3,000 as of Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p><!-- --><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>The page was first reported on by KCRA. In the story, the station spoke to the victim, who said she was upset Cacconie was released on bail.<\/p>\n<p><!--]--><!--[--><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think about it every day. I mean, even when I go to sleep at night, it\u2019s like something that I\u2019m in fear (of])every day. It\u2019s not a good feeling,\u201d she said last week, according to KCRA 3. \u201cI blame the justice system. Unfortunately, because they were supposed to have my back through this all.
