Two new tenants are coming to the mall, including an interactive game-show experience and a celebrity-backed fashion brand.

Jeff Richardson, the Galleria’s senior general manager, said Great Big Game Show is coming to the Galleria, bringing game-show-style competitions to Roseville. The company has more than 25 locations, including two in the Bay Area.

The attraction allows groups to compete in game-show-style challenges and would be the company’s first location in the Sacramento area, according to the Sacramento Business Journal, which previously reported on plans for the business.

The Roseville location will be on Level 1 in the Round1 cut-through near The Escape Game. Richardson said the space was created as part of the Round1 and Cinemark conversion of the former Sears space, rather than replacing an existing retail tenant.

The attraction is targeting a December opening, he said.

The addition joins the Galleria’s growing entertainment lineup, which includes Sandbox VR. The Business Journal reported last month that the virtual reality arcade had filed plans for a Galleria location.

“This is another incredible addition to our entertainment lineup strengthening our multi use, first to market and only in market retail assortment,” Richardson said.

He said the Galleria is intentionally expanding beyond traditional retail.

“We are balancing our offering to create a destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment,” he said.

Other businesses slated to join the Galleria’s renovated promenade area include furniture retailer Design Within Reach and restaurants Doppio Zero and King’s Fish House, according to the Business Journal.

The mall does not disclose specific vacancy information, but Richardson said demand for space remains strong. He said the Galleria has added significantly to its retail mix since the pandemic, including more than 50 “only in market” retailers that cannot be found within 100 miles of the shopping center.

“This has expanded our trade area and helped the Westfield Galleria excel in both sales and foot traffic,” Richardson said.

Skims, the shapewear and apparel company co-founded by Kim Kardashian, Emma Grede and Jens Grede, also has signed a lease at the mall, according to Westfield Galleria at Roseville officials.

Richardson said the approximately 5,000-square-foot store will be located near Nordstrom. He said the mall is not yet disclosing the exact location because another retailer is still operating in the space.

An opening date has not been announced. The Roseville store would be Skims’ first in the Sacramento area. The nearest existing location is in the Bay Area, according to the Business Journal, which first reported the addition. The brand, founded in 2019, has more than 100 stores worldwide and sells shapewear, underwear and clothing for women and men.
