Abby Baffoe, a New York City-based influencer, went viral on social media for her outfit at The Masters earlier this spring. Many of Baffoe’s followers felt that her vintage Chanel outfit was not appropriate for The Masters. Many still found the outfit attractive, but not fitting for the prestigious golf tournament and setting at Augusta National.
Photos of the outfit quickly went viral on social media.
Fans, though, continued to criticize her for what she wore on the hallowed grounds of Augusta National Golf Club.
“Honey. Country club attire,” one critic said to Baffoe.
“Ma’am that is a MATCHA outfit, not a masters outfit,” one fan added.
“Not appropriate,” one shared.
Baffoe, who has a big following on social media, isn’t done attending major sporting events this year.
The New York City influencer attended Wimbledon over the weekend. She dressed for the occasion, joking that she got “redemption” for her Masters flub.

Baffoe gets ‘redemption’ at Wimbledon
Baffoe took to social media to show off her Wimbledon outfit, which featured a stunning white jacket, top and skirt.
“Is this a redemption or……” she joked on Instagram.

Baffoe’s followers appreciated her sense of humor.
“Her manager should’ve guided her on dress code for Masters. The fit alone was cute ❤️ but for that type of event, she needed to match the colors and style a bit better,” one fan wrote.
“LOVE!!🔥 although I loved the Masters outfit too!🤭,” one fan added.
“Love it!!! And I loved your Masters fit!! Even better that you make fun of yourself about a silly label!” one fan added.
Jannik Sinner, the No. 1 player in the world, ended up winning Wimbledon, taking on No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev in the men’s singles final on Sunday.
