An evacuation order has been issued for parts of Yuba County after the Chute Fire reignited Monday, Yuba County’s Office of Emergency Services said.

The Chute Fire started July 13 in Chute Ravine near Dobbins. By Wednesday, the vegetation fire had grown to 9 acres and was 20% contained, according to Cal Fire’s Nevada Yuba Placer Unit. However, the fire reignited at about 2 a.m. Monday and had grown to about 20 acres by 11 a.m., the unit said in a Facebook post.

An evacuation order was issued for areas within Yuba County by the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department after the blaze reignited. Residents south of Bullards Bar in Dobbins, Camptonville, and up to Marysville Road are ordered to evacuate given an immediate threat to life presented by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
