During the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark earned the nickname “The President” from fellow players Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman, who are also known as the “StudBudz.”

The nickname originated when Williams and Hiedeman used Clark’s name to access a particular location during a Twitch livestream, with the former saying, “I’m calling the president, where’s Caitlin Clark?”
Williams and Hiedeman even went on record to admit that they namedrop Clark to “get perks.” The two also mentioned that it works, as they emphasized, “That’s The President.”
Now, during the 2026 WNBA All-Star weekend in Chicago, Clark’s “The President” nickname emerged again. This time, it came after the Fever guard gifted both Williams and Hiedeman pairs of her new Nike Caitlin 1s sneakers.
During the Twitch livestream, Williams could be heard screaming, “We love The President.”
After fans saw the video, many once again took notice of the nickname and commented on how much they loved it. Several others started referring to Clark as “The President” as well after the cool moment.

“We love you president CC,” a commenter wrote. Another one said, “I can’t stop smiling. Caitlin Clark is a real one! Love you President and s/o Studbudz.”
“I love how they fw each other ‘The President’ … hahahhaha BET!” a poster added.
A fan shared, “Courtney be having me weak calling CC the president.”
A supporter stated, “Caitlin is the President for real. Gifting shoes and calling big shots? She’s the best.”
“Always calling her the president fry’s me,” a six follower exclaimed.
Clark’s most prominent nickname is “CC,” which is simply the acronym for her name. While “The President” nickname has yet to catch up in terms of popularity, it certainly looks like it’s gaining traction.
