Yuba City police are investigating a double homicide Monday after a shooting late Sunday outside a convenience store left two people dead, authorities said.

Two men, ages 18 and 21, were killed in the shooting at about 10:54 p.m. Sunday outside the 7-Eleven store in the 900 block of Market Street, the Yuba City Police Department said in a news release.
Officers responded to multiple reports of gunfire and a fight outside the store. Investigators believe a fight broke out before the shots were fired.
Officers arrived to find the men with gunshot wounds. The 18-year-old, critically wounded, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries. The 21-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third man, 19, arrived at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand, Yuba City police said.
No arrests have been made in connection with the killings.
Sutter County Coroner’s Office officials will release the victims’ identities after next of kin have been notified.
Investigators with the California Department of Justice were called in to help Yuba City detectives process the crime scene. The investigation continued Monday.
