A wildfire in San Jacinto burned about 15 acres Sunday afternoon, Aug. 2, before firefighters stopped its spread within about an hour.

The Soboba Fire near Soboba Road and Chebela Drive was reported at 4:38 p.m., Cal Fire said.
The forward spread was reported stopped at 5:59 p.m. and firefighters expected to remain at the scene for about six hours “to perform mop-up, extinguish hot spots and strengthen containment lines,” the agency posted on Facebook.

Cal Fire said there were no injuries and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
