On Tuesday at 8:53 p.m. the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA released an extreme heat warning in effect until Saturday at 8 p.m. The warning is for Western Antelope Valley Foothills, Eastern Antelope Valley Foothills and Antelope Valley.

“Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of 102 to 110 degrees,” can be anticipated according to the NWS. “Heat hazards may extend through Saturday.”

“There is a high risk for dangerous heat illness, especially for sensitive groups like the very young, the very old, those without air conditioning, and those active outdoors,” says the NWS.
