Benson Boone’s concert at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center was postponed Saturday less than an hour before it was scheduled to begin after the singer said he was experiencing problems with his voice.

Boone announced the postponement in an Instagram story, apologizing to fans who had traveled to attend the show.
“I know this is extremely disappointing, especially for everyone who traveled to be here,” Boone said. “Trust me, I am disappointed too. I hate letting you guys down more than anything.”

Boone and Golden 1 Center said the concert will be rescheduled, but no new date has been announced.
“We’re figuring out the next steps now, and I’ll get you an update as soon as I have one,” Boone said. “This show will be rescheduled as soon as possible. I will see you soon.”
