TPC Southwind is loaded with water, tight landing areas and plenty of ways to ruin a scorecard, making accuracy and elite iron play essential. With big names, long shots, and plenty of betting opportunities on the board, here are our six favorite bets for the 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship.

Russell Henley First-Round Leader (+4000)
Henley is built to come out firing at TPC Southwind. He finds fairways for fun, stripes his irons and enters Memphis with three straight top-20 finishes. That’s a pretty sweet recipe for a low Thursday round. The putter is always the key, but Henley has been putting in extra work with coach Phil Kenyon this week. If the flatstick cooperates early, he has everything needed to grab the first-round lead.
Corey Conners Top-20 Finish (+200)
Conners is practically built for TPC Southwind. He finds fairways, flushes his irons and already owns a T6 finish here. Even better, the putter – usually the party crasher – has actually been cooperating lately. Conners has finished T23 or better in four of his last six starts and continues to gain strokes on approach. Keep the ball-striking sharp and the putter respectable, and a top-20 finish feels like a terrific target this week.
Ludvig Aberg Top-10 Finish (+186)
Aberg may not be collecting trophies, but he keeps cashing top-10 tickets. He’s finished inside the top 10 seven times in his last 13 starts, including a T9 at The Open, and posted another T9 at TPC Southwind last year. His elite tee-to-green game gives him a rock-solid floor every week. Forget trying to predict when the next win comes – back Aberg to hang around the leaderboard and grab another top-10.

Hideki Matsuyama Top-5 Finish (+455)
Matsuyama is on an absolute heater, so why jump off now? He’s finished T3, T5, and T7 in his last three starts and now returns to TPC Southwind, where he won in 2024 and nearly won in 2021. His irons are cooking, the putter is cooperating and he clearly loves Memphis. With five straight top-20s at this course, Matsuyama has all the ingredients to turn another strong week into a top-five finish.
Sam Burns to Win (+2200)
Burns is knocking on the door, and Memphis could finally be where he kicks it down. He’s piled up four top-12 finishes in his last five starts and has already finished runner-up and T5 at TPC Southwind. His ball-striking is cooking, and we already know the putter can catch fire in a hurry. Burns hasn’t won in a while, but everything is lining up for that drought to end this week.
Aaron Rai to Win (+7800)
Rai at long-shot odds? Yes, please. TPC Southwind rewards golfers who find fairways, stripe irons and stay out of trouble, which is basically Rai’s entire personality on a golf course. He’s gained more than 13 strokes across his last two trips to Memphis, and the putter is finally waking up. Add in the confidence of a major champion, and Rai feels seriously underpriced. At these odds, he’s absolutely worth a swing to win it all.
One-and-Done Play of the Week
If you play in a One-and-Done league, the idea is simple: You get to use each golfer once all season, so picking the right spot matters.
Wyndham Clark is my One-and-Done play this week, and while the available options are getting thinner, there’s still plenty to like. Clark has already won twice this season, including his second U.S. Open title, so we know the winning upside is there. His recent form has cooled, but TPC Southwind gives him four guaranteed rounds to get the driver and putter cooking again. He’s also finished T7 here before, proving he can handle this tricky layout. With the biggest stars worth saving for later in the playoffs, I’m rolling the dice on Clark’s firepower delivering another big finish.
