Every bowl of pho served at Sit Lo Saigon’s newest restaurant has been described as a “labor of love,” according to its owners.

Marking its first Sacramento location, the pho shop at 565 Howe Ave. opened Tuesday.
Its owners said the pho is exactly like that served in Vietnam with beef broth simmered for 72 hours to “bring out the umami of the beef bones.”
“Each bone is parboiled, scrubbed (and) rinsed to achieve the clarity in our soup just like our mother(s) would make at home,” the owners wrote online.
Sit Lo Saigon was founded in Elk Grove in 2021 and expanded to its Davis location at 424 G St. a year later. The original Elk Grove location is at 7405 Laguna Blvd.

Sit Lo Saigon is owned by Mymy Nguyen and Jimmy Voong, according to the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce. The married couple also run Saigon Alley Kitchen + Bar, based in midtown.
The menu features pho tai with ribeye, phao gau with brisket, and pho nam with flank beef. The Arden Arcade location also serves oxtail pho, short rib pho, and a Saigon signature pho with ribeye, meatballs, brisket, beef flank, tripe, and tendon.
While the menu is almost solely pho, Sit Lo Saigon also serves fried doughnuts and sweet drinks such as Hong Kong lemon tea, Thai tea, iced Vietnamese tea, and coconut juice.
Sit Lo Saigon Arden Arcade is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily with the hours subject to change during its initial opening phase.
