Office workers and others accustomed to having their lunch orders filled at Roundhouse Deli will have to wait a while before they’ll be able to grab a tri-tip taco or a hot pastrami.

The Deli’s location at 1914 Alhambra Blvd. in Sacramento closed in late July following a fire
The restaurant’s social media page said the building had significant damage. While there were no injuries, it will take “several months” to rebuild, the owners wrote.
Roundhouse Deli will have to go through a lengthy process for insurance, permitting and construction its owners said. In the meantime, they thanked customers for their “patience, support and understanding.”
“While we’re disappointed, we’re committed to rebuilding and reopening as soon as it’s safe to do so,” the post read.

The Deli, best known for its smoked meats, has two other locations in the greater Sacramento area.
It opened in the 1970s in Roseville as a women-and-Latino-owned business, according to its website. Its second location is in Elk Grove at 8450 Elk Grove Blvd.
While the Sacramento location undergoes renovation, its other locations will be open Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We’ll continue to share updates as we make progress,” the owners said online. “Thank you for standing by us. We look forward to serving you again soon.”
