Reese entered the league as the seventh overall pick of the 2024 WNBA Draft. She spent her first two years with the Chicago Sky before being traded to Atlanta before the 2026 season.

Currently, the 6-foot-4 forward is averaging a double-double in her career. She is averaging 14.6 points and 12.6 rebounds.

Reese is one of the most well-known players today. Her high-profile rivalry with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark consistently generates a lot of attention whenever they face each other on the court.

The former LSU star drew praise from her fellow NCAA Champion, Lobo, as she spoke about Reese’s impact.

“She’s fitting in beautifully with this group,” Lobo said about Reese’s move to Atlanta. “That really predicates themselves on what they can do on the defensive end of the floor.

“She’s a terrific defender,” she added. “Obviously, we know what she can do on the glass.”

Lobo gave props to Reese’s dominance on the boards, calling her one of the best rebounders in the WNBA.

“I think we’ve almost taken for granted Angel Reese as a rebounder,” the former WNBA All-Star said. “When you look at what she’s doing in terms of her career: she’s averaging 12 and a half rebounds per game in her career.”

“We don’t have another player in their career who averaged double-digit rebounds. We’re not talking enough about the historic nature that she’s doing on the glass.”

This is high praise coming from a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and Olympic gold medalist.
