Best NRFI and YRFI Bets Today
Los Angeles Dodgers at Colorado Rockies YRFI (-170)
The Dodgers send LHP Eric Lauer to the mound at 7-6 with a 4.67 ERA. Lauer is probably as big of a fan of Coors Field as he is the first inning. His ERA in the opening frame is 6.75. Rockies RHP Ryan Feltner makes the start at 5-6 with a 5.59 ERA. His first-inning ERA of 5.50 is equally as bloated.

Toronto Blue Jays at Tampa Bay Rays NRFI (-120)
RHP Jose Soriano goes for the Jays and has a 1.69 ERA in two starts with his new club. He’s 9-6 with a 3.16 ERA overall in 2026. He has been great in the first inning all year with a 2.25 ERA. Rays RHP Nick Martinez is having a fantastic year at 12-3 with a 2.74 ERA. His mastery begins in the first with a 1.17 ERA and a .183 opponents’ batting average.
Arizona Diamondbacks at Boston Red Sox NRFI (-120)
D-Backs RHP Merrill Kelly has had a forgettable season at 8-10 with a 5.11 ERA. His 4.09 ERA in the first doesn’t send a lot of positive vibes down the spine, but that’s actually his best work among the first five innings. Red Sox LHP Ranger Suarez is 4-3 with a 3.25 ERA. He has solid numbers in the first with a 3.43 ERA and a .224 opponents’ batting average.
What Do NRFI and YRFI Mean in Baseball?
The term NRFI indicates no runs scored in the first inning. Its opposite, YRFI, indicates yes, there will be a run in the first inning. It doesn’t matter if the run qualifies as an earned run or not. If a run crosses the plate in the first inning for either team, the wager loses for the NRFI side and wins for the YRFI side.
