The Manning Passing Academy celebrated its 30th year this summer. The iconic quarterback summer camp, hosted by the legendary Manning family, takes place every year in Louisiana.
This year, more than 1,400 high school quarterbacks, running backs, tight ends, and wide receivers, along with several prominent college football quarterbacks, gathered at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, from June 25-28, for the 30th edition of the Manning Passing Academy (MPA).
Several prominent college football quarterbacks served as counselors, including Steve Angeli (Syracuse), Bear Bachmeier (BYU), CJ Bailey (NC State), Ryan Browne (Purdue), CJ Carr (Notre Dame), Trinidad Chambliss (Ole Miss), Noah Fifita (Arizona), Kevin Jennings (SMU), Kyle Lowe (Southeastern Louisiana), Jayden Maiava (USC), John Mateer (Oklahoma), Owen McCown (UTSA), Alberto Mendoza (Georgia Tech), Arch Manning (Texas), Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele (Cal), Julian Sayin (Ohio State), Gunner Stockton (Georgia), KaMario Taylor (Mississippi State), Conner Weigman (Houston), and Demond Williams (Washington).
According to Todd McShay of The Ringer, Arch Manning was actually booed by some campers at this year’s event. Manning has certainly emerged as somewhat of a villain in the college football world, given his last name.
“I’m down at the Manning Passing Academy and there are some (expletives) in the stands who are actually booing Arch. And I’m like, the Manning family has invited you in, one of 1,400 campers to come in, and we’ve got a group of like 15 kids that are booing him,” McShay said.

However, the clear-cut favorite among the campers was Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.
“Everyone in the crowd, I’ve never seen anything like it man, everyone in the crowd is in love with Trinidad Chambliss,” McShay told Brandon Walker.
Arch Manning is known for his trash talk
Maybe Arch Manning gave it back to the campers a little bit, too.
“I think the team responds really well to Arch,” Steve Sarkisian said. “You know, I think Arch loves football. He loves to practice. He loves to work, and it’s funny because Arch probably talks a little more (expletive) than people give him credit for outside of our building. So in practice, there’s a good amount of banter that goes on, and now Arch has more confidence. He gives a little more of that banter. He gives a little more of that banter back.”
