A local marketplace was expanding into Elk Grove and Folsom, bringing vintage and artisan goods from local businesses.

Bliss Marketplace was set to take over the former Joann Fabric and Crafts store at 8509 Bond Road in Elk Grove, according to a post from the business. Joann Fabric and Crafts closed all of its stores, including the Elk Grove location, in 2025 after the chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The 35,000-square-foot Elk Grove store would be Bliss Marketplace’s largest location, with space for more than 200 vendors, according to the post.

The Elk Grove location was expected to open by the end of the month.
The marketplace also planned to expand into Folsom, with a 22,000-square-foot location at 13000 Folsom Blvd. at the Folsom Premium Outlets. The location was expected to hold its grand opening ceremony in October, according to a post from the business.

The marketplace sells “vintage treasures and handmade goods” from local artisans and small businesses and hosts events and workshops, according to its website.
The business’ Rancho Cordova location at 2529 Mercantile Drive could also relocate to Citrus Heights when its lease expires in January, according to the post.
Bliss Marketplace, which opened its first location in 2016, also operated stores at 2722 R St. in Sacramento and 390 Roseville Square in Roseville.
