One of the biggest moves of the exciting 2026 offseason saw two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo move to the Miami Heat. After spending more than a decade as the Milwaukee Bucks’ darling, becoming synonymous with the franchise and even bringing them their first championship in 50 years in 2021, Giannis packed his bags and took his talents to South Beach.
Since the moment he finalized the move, it appears that the Greek Freak is making himself more comfortable by the day in his new environment. According to the Miami Herald, a company linked to Antetokounmpo purchased a newly built mansion in Pinecrest for $13.5 million. And by the looks of it, he is there to stay and win titles.
A new home for the Greek Freak
For Giannis, there is nothing that beats the thrill of competing on the hardwood, and he proves that every time he steps on it. But to produce the best results, Antetokounmpo went above and beyond to make sure he also has the stability of a perfect home once the bright lights of the Association turn off.
This eight-bedroom property, sitting on a one-acre lot, gives Giannis, his wife Mariah, and their four young children plenty of room to settle into their new surroundings and enjoy Miami life.

This massive purchase comes only a couple of months after the blockbuster deal that sent Tyler Herro, Kel’el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakučionis to the Bucks, while Miami got Giannis and Bobby Portis in return.
On top of that, Giannis is eligible to sign an extension starting October 1, but there is a strong belief around league circles that he will wait until January, or six months after the trade. By waiting, he would become eligible to sign a four-year, $275 million max extension, according to ESPN, making the new home that much sweeter.
A whole different mission
Now that Giannis has finally found a place to call home, at least for the immediate future, it seems a whole different mission is on the horizon: winning another Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Miami sent a massive haul for Antetokounmpo, signaling they are ready for title contention. And a guy with Giannis’ résumé is most definitely an excellent building block to start with. With Bam Adebayo and Andrew Wiggins still there, the front office in South Beach also did a great job bringing in more shooting, namely Tim Hardaway Jr. and Klay Thompson.
Antetokounmpo is a guy capable of carrying a franchise to the promised land, as he already proved during his time with the Bucks. Now, it only remains to be seen how everything will click once the season kicks off.
But judging by his new home, Giannis appears ready to make Miami his home for much more than just basketball.
