A nomination window for Vail Resorts’ Board of Directors closed yesterday, September 10, 2026, according to a press release published by the company.

Five nominations were made in total by Vail Resorts shareholders, including Olympic Gold Medalist and all-time great ski racer Picabo Street.
Street, as many skiers will recall, earned international acclaim for winning a gold medal in the Super G at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan. She also has multiple downhill World Cup titles, a gold medal in the 1996 downhill World Championships, and countless victories to her name.
Street has also worked as a broadcaster for NBC’s coverage of ski racing, including the Winter Olympics.
Other nominees include the former CEO of Disney, Robert A. Chapek; venture capitalists Ashton Hudson and Bryce Roberts; and a self-nomination by Vail Resorts’ stakeholder Gregory Syvert Meyer.

“The Company confirms that it received the notices of intent to nominate the following individuals for its Board of Directors, via the named shareholders on the following dates:
- Via Oasis Management, on September 9 and 10: Robert A. Chapek of Florida; M. Ashton Hudson of Florida; Bryce Roberts of Utah; and Picabo Street of Utah.
- Via Gregory Syvert Meyer, on September 10: The Company also received a self-nomination of Gregory Syvert Meyer of Florida.”
“After evaluating all candidates, the Board will include its recommended slate of director nominees in the Company’s proxy statement to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and distributed to all shareholders eligible to vote at the annual meeting,” writes Vail Resorts in the press release. “Vail Resorts shareholders are not required to take any action at this time.”
This round of nominations follows the announcement earlier this summer that Bill Hornbuckle, CEO and president of MGM Resorts, was joining Vail Resorts’ Board of Directors.
