As Vic Fangio elegantly put it, Robinson had “been on life support since he’s been here, but he came to life” during training camp and preseason.
The Eagles selected Robinson in the fourth round of the 2025 draft, hoping the seven-sack production from his final season at Nebraska would translate to the pros. Following a disappointing rookie campaign where he struggled to earn playing time and proved minimally productive in limited snaps, Robinson looks like a completely different player this summer.
Across three preseason games, he has emerged as the pass rusher Philadelphia envisioned. Posting a 13.5% pressure rate, Robinson racked up 12 total pressures, including 3.0 sacks, four QB hits, and five hurries.
Howie Roseman has a knack for finding value in the trenches, and Young is a prime example. After being drafted in the third round in the 2023 NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, an injury limited him to appear in just six games in his rookie year. The Raiders waived Young the following offseason, where the Eagles quickly claimed him off waivers, seeing potential in the former Second Team All-SEC Alabama product.

Young spent the majority of the 2024 season on the injured reserve with a hamstring injury and did not see the field when he returned but found his way into the rotation in 2025, recording 37 tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Robinson and Young will both compete for rotational snaps behind Jalen Carter, Jordan Davis, and Moro Ojomo, a role that becomes even more critical if Ojomo departs in free agency.
The Eagles have built a clear blueprint for this progression, starting when Milton Williams entered the rotation and stepped into a larger role following Fletcher Cox’s retirement, then Ojomo repeating that exact cycle when Williams signed with the New England Patriots. Now, either young lineman has the opportunity to be next in line.
