Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston and Team USA are headed to the FIBA World Cup final after defeating Spain in the semifinal on Saturday.

It was not an easy win for the Americans, with Spain jumping to a 9-1 lead to start the contest. Fortunately, Team USA eventually found its rhythm and tied the game at 58-58 by the end of the third quarter.
Team USA took full control in the fourth quarter, outscoring Spain 18-8 in the period to secure a 76-66 victory.
Breanna Stewart led the way for the national team with 16 points on 4-of-6 shooting, along with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
Boston, for her part, led Team USA in rebounding with seven boards. She also scored six points, while tallying the best plus-minus rating on the team at +21.
On the other hand, Clark didn’t have the best performance. She scored just one point, along with one rebound, one assist and one steal. However, she had the second-best plus-minus rating on the squad at +16, highlighting that she still had a significant impact on the win despite her limited production.
After Team USA secured a ticket to the final, the Indiana Fever were quick to react to the development and congratulate their players who were part of the accomplishment.

In another post, the Fever also celebrated Boston, as she scored two crucial points in the fourth quarter to give Team USA a 66-60 lead.
“Aliyah Boston scored a crucial basket in the fourth quarter as the United States pulled away late to beat Spain and advance to the final at the 2026 FIBA World Cup,” the Fever stated.
Sure enough, Clark and Boston are expected to play a big role for Team USA in the final against France in its bid to win a fifth straight FIBA World Cup title.
