Texas came from behind to take down Ohio State, 24-23, in Austin on Saturday evening. It was the biggest win of Sarkisian’s career to this point. Arch Manning finally had his Heisman Trophy moment.
But following the game, Rowe attempted a postgame interview with Texas’ head coach. He was not interested in it, however. Sarkisian gave a brief statement before blowing off Rowe and going to celebrate with his players.
The moment quickly went viral.
Rowe was understandably annoyed. However, she didn’t say anything as Sarkisian left. Instead, she simply tossed up her hands and did a bit of an eyeroll.
The veteran ESPN college football sideline reporter was clearly annoyed.
Fans split on Rowe’s behavior after interview
College football fans appear to be split on it.
“Couldn’t have happened to a nicer lady. I’m 100% team Sark on this,” one fan wrote.

“I’m not going to defend Sark… BUT…. Holly Rowe is not some sweet innocent little auntie. She calls herself a ‘siren’ for a reason. She’s not nice. She plays the nice role because that’s the only role available,” former ESPN anchor Jason Whitlock added on social media.
Meanwhile, sideline reporter Lynden Blake criticized Rowe, as well.
“As someone that’s been blown off many a times for a halftime/post game interview. The way Holly Rowe handled that was weird. She tucked her tail. All you have to say is ‘well looks like someone is excited.’ Or be petty and say ‘seems like someone didn’t want to talk about the slow start.’ But don’t stomp off,” she wrote.
